The pool never asks for your wallet key. All it needs to pay you is your public address. Your unpaid balance stays in the pool's wallets until it is paid to your address.

Your 24 words, .key file and wallet password are never sent to the pool. Your rigs mine with a separate key that the pool creates for them, and that key can't change where your payouts go.

Your key is created or restored in your browser, encrypted with your password and stored on your device. Every transaction is signed there, and the pool only relays the signed result. Back up your 24 words and your .key file: no one can recover them for you.
